A new WWI flight simulator has recently been released by Third Wire called First Eagles.  Third Wire is headed by none other than Tsuyoshi Kawahito (TK), who was the driving force behind European Air War.  So, if you've enjoyed EAW, I suggest you take a look at First Eagles as a great combat flight simulator recreating the WWI air battles over France.  The game has been released in Europe and will be coming to the U.S. in box form soon.  However, you can download a copy now through Third Wire's online store here.

Hi-Res Summer Terrain Set for Third Wire's First Eagles (Updated 1/31/07)

This is a hi-res terrain set for First Eagles.  It replaces all of the default terrain with repainted 512x512 tiles (most of the default is 256x256). This terrain set preserves the original locations of the trees and fields, and leverages some features of the original terrain. The result is a landscape that still has a similar feel as the stock terrain, but with much greater detail and visual interest.

This is a hi-res replacement building set for First Eagles.  It replaces or enhances most of the buildings in the game.

Hi-Res Winter Terrain Set for Third Wire's First Eagles (New 3/10/07)

This is a hi-res winter terrain set for First Eagles.   It is a winterized version of the Hi-Res Summer Terrain, and utilizes 512x512 tiles.  Also included are buildings and trees to match the winter landscape.

The following section is for Third Wire Production's Wings Over Europe-- a jet air-combat game where you can fly many 60's and 70's era aircraft.  As with all of TK's sims, this game has a very active modding community.

Hi-Res Enhanced Terrain Set for Wings Over Europe (New 2/2/08)

This is a hi-res summer terrain set for Third Wire's Wings Over Europe.   It is based on the game's original textures but they have been modified to improve the overall look and feel of the terrain.  This terrain set utilizes higher-res 512x512 tiles.
